HUD—Indian Housing Block Grants
Purpose:
$510 million is dedicated to block and competitive grants through the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act to construct and rehabilitate reservation homes and other authorized projects. Additional funding would also go to the housing improvement program administered by the BIA. Tribes are also eligible to complete in HUD's $5 billion weatherization assistance program.
