Health

There is no question that people are better off with health insurance -- in fact, people who have health insurance are healthier than those who don't. But how come over 40 million people in the US are uninsured? Is health insurance something we are entitled to as citizens, or is it a luxury that we should pay for ourselves?  During this seminar, you will work through case studies of patients whose lives are affected by their health and insurance status, and discuss who should be responsible for providing health insurance to our country.

Questions to Consider:

  • Why do so many people not have health insurance?
  • Who should pay for health insurance? Employers? Even if it hurts their business? The government?
  • How can we make sure everyone has health insurance?
